This thought-provoking, compelling and often combative podcast had me riveted as not only are the three protagonists some of the most distinguished legal brains of their generation but they also helped to define and create much of today’s legal landscape. As a non-lawyer, I was grateful for their clarity and the accessible way they discussed newsy and controversial topics and unravelled some seemingly complex areas of the Law in a way that the interested layman (and woman) could easily understand. I was particularly fascinated by their debates on Assisted Dying, Rwanda, the Shamima Begum case plus Libel law and the Vardy-Rooney case. If you fear it might be dry and technical – forget it; these three absolutely bring the Law alive for anyone interested in politics, history and the state of Britain today.
