Tristan Beaudette was an American scientist and father of two young daughters. In June 2018, he was brutally murdered while camping in Creek State Park in Malibu, California. Since his death, there have been several hypotheses and calls to the police denouncing a sniper shooting at campers and cars passing through the area.

Dana Goodyear, a renowned journalist for The New Yorker newspaper, investigated this strange crime and hosts Lost Hills. The most impressive thing about the case is that the police knew that Tristan's death was coming but still did nothing to prevent it.

But there's more to listen to. Lost Hills: The Dark Prince uncovers Malibu's hidden secrets. Season 3 explores the enigmatic surfer Miki Dora, who ruled Malibu from the 1950s to the 1970s. Celebrated for his style and aggression, Dora was also a conman pursued by the FBI for seven years. Hosted by Dana Goodyear (The New Yorker) and produced by Western Sound and Pushkin Industries, Lost Hills offers captivating 35-minute episodes.
